Nonya Grenader, FAIA is principal of her own small firm. Her recent architectural projects have received design awards from the American Institute of Architects Houston and the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance. Sam Grenader, AIA joined the practice in 2014, and their work combines living and working spaces with a focus on client needs and spatial simplicity.
Nonya has taught at Rice University, School of Architecture since 1994. At Rice, she is Professor in Practice and served as Associate Director of the Rice Building Workshop from 1996-2016. She has received the “Educator Award” from the American Institute of Architects. Her work with students in the Rice Building Workshop has resulted in the NCARB Prize for the “Integration of Practice and Education” from the National Council of Registration Boards and the “Collaborative Practice Award” from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.
