Nonya Grenader, FAIA, Recent Projects

Nonya Grenader is principal of her own small firm. Her recent architectural projects have received design awards from the American Institute of Architects Houston and the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance. Her work combines living and working spaces with a focus on client needs and spatial simplicity.

She has taught at Rice University, School of Architecture for the past thirteen years. At Rice, she is Professor in Practice and Associate Director of the Rice Building Workshop. She has received the “Educator Award” from the American Institute of Architects. Her work with students in the Rice Building Workshop has resulted in the NCARB Prize for the “Integration of Practice and Education” from the National Council of Registration Boards and the “Collaborative Practice Award” from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.
